EXHORTATIONS AND NOTES:
This is going to be a different kind of blog entry today.
In my last blog entry I want to re-indicate the “spiritual challenges” section: https://banditzlayer.wordpress.com/2016/03/01/3-1-16-grab-bag/
For the sake of space and brevity I’m not going to repeat it all here. Please look that section over first at least and then we can get into the follow-up here. I’ll wait. 🙂
Ready? 🙂 Ok, moving forward:
When I posted that and some other related comments about demonic oppression on my Facebook page the like-minded feedback and “we’re having the same problems/ we’re dealing with this” blew up rather quickly. I’m not surprised.
I can’t help but notice in a birth pangs context that this “ramping up of evil” and fallout thereof has gone right along with it. It’s as if we have crossed an unseen threshold in more ways than one in recent years and I think this is a big part of it.
I understand and I am not trying to diminish “mental/emotional duress/illness/ etc.” issues… that’s certainly in play too… but this is clearly something else past even all of that. It capitalizes upon any and all weaknesses and amplified them to an excruciating degree. There are certain hallmarks that are tip offs that I feel the links that I posted in that previous blog entry spell out as well as can be done that people need to watch out for. If we know the Enemy’s tactics we can be better prepared to handle said issues.
I highly recommend an in-depth study of Ephesians 6. Slow and methodical because we are living it and we all need to learn more about putting on and keeping the “Armor of God” on at all times.
If you have any kind of friends or family around then remember that Jesus Himself said that when two or more gather in His Name He is there. Believe it and use it.
Have a Bible study. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Recently my family and I reinstated the family Bible study. That got lost by the wayside when we got sucked down into that…well, I won’t call it a church… cult last year. There really is something about reading the Bible out loud and getting into it. Nothing fancy. Some extra and deliberate offense as it were.
Even if you’re alone…try it. Reading the Psalms out loud is a great place to start. 🙂
Doc Marquis at http://www.itsagodthingproductions777.com has an email mailing list and from time to time will share prayer requests and such for people he corresponds with. Last night he sent out an email bomb for some people who had a prayer written in it that goes to all of this that I thought was spectacular.
I am going to post that prayer here with the names removed because it’s a prayer template I think we can all use as a frame of reference to work off of. Plug your own names in there. Plug in names of people you know that need the prayer support. 🙂
Here is that prayer that Doc Marquis wrote with a heavy nod and thanks to the Holy Spirit:
“Please ask our brothers and sisters in Christ to agree with me in prayer for (insert name here)
Father, In the precious name of Jesus Christ our Messiah, and according to your Word…Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Lord, we come before you to pray for our brother/ sister in Christ, (insert name here)
Lord, we are instructed by your Word to…Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). Your Word tells us that fulfillment is…Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law (Romans 13:8). Lord, we love our brothers and sisters in Christ and ask for your perfect will in (insert name here) life.
Lord, we stand on your Word as it says…Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. (Mark 11:24-25).
Lord, we ask that you replace (insert name here) fear with power, and love, and a sound mind as your Word assures us…For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, may the Holy Spirit bring to (insert name here) heart truth as promised in your Word… And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). May (insert name here) come to trust you according to your Word.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5). For your Word declares…God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good (Numbers 23:19)?
Lord, your Word warns us… The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
We claim that abundant life for (insert name here).
In the name of Jesus, Lord, we assist our brother/sister in Christ, (insert name here), in putting on their whole armour of God as your Word declares…Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
Lord your Word instructs us…And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19).
In the name of Jesus we bind the evil forces that are coming against (insert name here) and we loose the truth of the Word of God into her life. Lord, we ask that you heal (insert name here), allow them to walk amongst men as a mighty testimony unto you.
We pray all these things according to your Word…Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 18:19).
Lord, we once again stand on your Word as it says…And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him (1John 5:14-15).
Lord, we ask that you give (insert name here) the strength to endure. Give them peace that passes all understanding for your Word tells us…But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace (Luke 8:48).”
