Expanded review of Lying Wonders of the Red Planet by S. Douglas Woodward

My original review was posted on Amazon: https://banditzlayer.wordpress.com/2014/02/24/my-amazon-review-of-lying-wonders-of-the-red-planet-by-s-douglas-woodward/

This next link is my review to L.A. Marzulli’s Watchers 7 DVD and Further Evidence companion book:

https://banditzlayer.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/watchers-7-and-further-evidence-review-and-impressions/

The reason I am linking to that review is because Lying Wonders of the Red Planet by S. Douglas Woodward dovetails and overlaps on several subjects and broad themes that Marzulli’s work does albeit from a different angle. There are a number of comments I made in that review that could also apply to this book in a general sense.

Both of these recent works come together clearly from different angles to attack the same deception setup that has been clearly occurring in our society for a lot longer than a lot of people have noticed or would like to believe.

I can highly recommend this book to anyone regardless of worldview or views on the topics covered in this book. The reasons I can do that is because Doug Woodward has a gift of being able to present every viewpoint with accuracy and balance while making the distinction in regards to his own personal views. Woodward always comes well documented with a high degree of scholarship for any project he tackles. I hate to use the cliché “fair and balanced” but I really can say that about Woodward’s approach from everything I have ever seen and heard from him. Woodward is able to employ a wry sense of humor and deft wit during the course of what can be at times dark and disturbing material.
The thesis of this book sets out to prove that the current Ancient Aliens phenomenon is today’s gnosticism. Taken at face value, that is a deceptively simple statement because to prove that thesis requires 150 years worth of backtracking and documenting the entire alien mythos that has permeated the culture and specifically the fascination with and focus on Mars in helping to perpetuate that narrative no matter what.

For example: Which delusion is capable of bringing together the jihadist Muslim and the orthodox Jew? What lie would cause most people to agree to worldwide government, with an international currency? Something much more terrifying would have to be in play here. Perhaps a threat from supposed “aliens”?  World leaders have openly posited that idea time and again right on through present day. Do some of them know something we don’t or at least think they do? I certainly agree with others that contend that we have been in the process of a “soft disclosure” so far as any alien/UFO concept goes. This sheds light on Scripture such as Matthew 24:24 which, in context, is describing the time period leading up to the Second Coming of Christ.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

It is disturbing to ponder just what sorts of things it would take to potentially deceive any believer in the Lord Jesus. What would it take?   This book attempts to answer at least part of that question.

The lie referred to here is described in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 as follows:

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Woodward’s book examines the social and cultural conditioning that we have seen through media and eerily prescient telegraphing over the years in leading science fiction materials. He also investigates the clear occult backgrounds of some of these concepts having to do with Mars which overlap into every other aspect. He engages everything from a theological vantage point with open Bible close at hand.  Nothing escapes being checked against God’s Word. This book focuses on just how much of a predominant factor the planet Mars has been and continues to increasingly be in fostering and promoting this narrative.

Woodward covers the gambit on both secular and Christian sides and finds the common denominators that clearly should send up red flags of alarm. Most likely, they will probably “find” something on Mars in the near future that will lend itself to a “full disclosure” event.
Here is a sampling of some of the items that get mentioned during the course of the book: The Face on Mars which has been prominently featured in media even before it was discovered thanks to Jack Kirby of Marvel Comics who was apparently attached to the CIA. This alone has ramifications to ponder. Is there a secret space travel program known by at least the USA and the Russians? A number of sincere people seem to think so, but why? Is it mind control, real, or something else? Toss in Tesla, Marconi, Jack Parsons, NASA, The Collins Elite, Hollywood, and a wide assortment of luminaries from past and present and what you have here in total is, as Bob Ulrich from Prophecy in the News referred to it, “the X-Files injected with truth serum!”

I can’t beat that description. The truth serum, of course, being God’s Word the Holy Bible.

One key element that drives several concepts in this book is the unknown of when Lucifer actually fell and became Satan. This is the kind of information the Bible does not spell out explicitly.

This book makes a valiant attempt to tackle that subject during the course of engaging its overall thesis. When Satan and his cast of angels rebelled it very likely shook the cosmos. There may very well have been a war of sorts. There was fallout and collateral from such an event. During the course of that event, was Mars one of their ancient outposts? Was Mars a moon for an outpost on a supposed planet Rahab, the remnants of which may be our asteroid belt of today? Did all of this happen before Adam and Eve were created? The reference to Rahab being Psalm 89:10:

“Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that I slain; thou has scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.”

Who or what is Rahab? If that kind of intrigue appeals to you then this book is for you. We know from the Scriptures that the Prince of the Power of the Air is Satan. We see monuments and other oddities all over the Earth that can only be aligned properly with the stars if you are looking at them from up in the sky. Angels have far less limitations than human beings so it’s hardly a stretch to imagine them coming and going in space or wherever they want.

The Scripture I’m referring to is Ephesians 2:2-3 quoted here for your convenience and context:

2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Some responsible speculation is not a bad thing but great care should be taken here while we hold fast to our Bibles. Doug Woodward certainly does this while mentioning these concepts so even if I have a few niggling areas of disagreement potentially it’s hardly an offense or a test of orthodoxy.

It may sound strange to apply this description to a nonfiction book but I can’t help it: This book is a fun yarn. It is enjoyable to read despite some occasionally dark and disturbing subject matter. It is obvious from reading it that Woodward himself enjoyed writing it.
I highly recommend visiting Doug Woodward’s website: http://faith-happens.com/
Here you will be able to find more information and more research in any number of areas.

Recently Doug made available all of his PowerPoint slides from his Prophecy in the News Orlando conference presentations here: http://faith-happens.com/orlando-powerpoints/ Simply use the password “jerusalem” without the quotes to access whatever interests you. Relevant to this book I would recommend giving his “Close Encounters of a Fourth Kind” and “Mars and the Evidence of a Pre-Adamic Civilization” slides close attention.

I am very eager to see what Doug Woodward’s next project is.  Stay tuned!

Ancient Aliens – Satan is misunderstood?

Ancient Aliens – Satan is misunderstood?.

From L.A. Marzulli

It’s amazing to think that people will swallow this swill up without a second thought but they won’t read or believe the Bible.

How can there be any doubts about the open agenda that’s happening out there including in the media with shows like Ancient Aliens? Is there any doubt where they’re coming from and what message they’re trying to put out?

Alien Gospel.
