European Commission and IT Companies announce Code of Conduct on illegal online hate speech

Everyone is or will be in on this. If you really think the Internet is bastion of unlimited free expression it’s past time to wake up about that.
I want to do my part, such as it is, to try and spread the word on this because I agree with the assessments of others: This is a big deal.
Make no mistake: What you read here will eventually be applied to the entire world to varying degrees. This is a template.
The most obvious question immediately arises: “Who and what defines ‘hate speech’?”
Their stated definition is exactly the kind of loaded, wordsmithing, legalese sophistry you would expect:
“Hate speech is defined by the Commission as something that “criminalises public incitement to violence or hatred against a group of persons or a member of such a group defined by reference to race, colour, religion, descent or national or ethnic origin.”
I don’t need to spell out for you all where that’s headed do I? If that isn’t a slippery slope I don’t know what is.
How is corrupting young kids in overt hate like this work for everyone? Can we do something about this or is that ok when it’s directed Jews and Israel? Freedom of religion and freedom expression is a-ok there, right?
It’s hard for me to wrap my brain around this seeming warming of relations between the Saudis and other Sunni Arab states… think about it… with Israel. How does that work?
The Saudis must truly be desperate beyond imagining is all I can figure. The Bin Ladens and others like that who already consider the monarchy apostate and worthy of doom must really be thrilled about this. The monarchy’s days are truly numbered. I can’t see this going anywhere meaningful. Jordan is supposed to be the “Palestinian state” anyways.
Strange bedfellows. Just another day in the Middle East.
NATO has already wisely signaled that Turkey will be left hung out to dry so I just can’t believe they really think they’re going to stand well against Iran-Russia-Syria.

We are never far from the influence of Iran in so many things. They are the masters of the art of the proxy war and are more pragmatic than a lot of people often think. Just recently I finished reading “The Devil We Know: Dealing with the New Iranian Superpower” written by ex CIA operative Robert Baer. I am impressed with Baer and I am on a streak right now of reading all of his main non-fiction books. This book was written in August of 2009 and is still surprisingly timely in terms of its explanation and geopolitical breakdown. I understand always having a certain caution reading anything and especially from someone that was involved in this line of work but reading books like these with the Bible prophetic cap on is quite the illuminating eye opener. Some of Baer’s analysis and projections from 2009 are bearing fruit right now.
ISIS has made no bones that they have every intention of making their way in to Israel same as anywhere else. What has struck me in recent months was ISIS personnel expressing open respect for the IDF but making assured claims that they had plans and the right time and place to make inroads.
ISIS is a wildcard termite like element that is virtually everywhere and not to be underestimated. JV league they are not. It’s difficult to quantify their full effect in the mix in addition to the usual suspects.
If a literal Psalm 83 war scenario is to take place my gut suspicion is that it will be in large thanks to the ISIS component.

In the ME if you had honest and objective brokers tracing the money the bulk of the problems lead back to Iran and Saudi Arabia running proxies. Those are you two biggest 800 lb. gorillas in the room far and away despite their rivaling Islamic beliefs.
The nuclear deal has been nothing but an epic win for Iran across the board. Follow the money and what they are doing with it and the lifting of sanctions. This Russian S-3000 deal has been hanging in the air for several years because of those sanctions…no more.

I can’t help but escape several level of irony and memes here ,though. If you see the footage or pictures from the gathering where Mark had a bunch of tech hounds test fire these it says a lot.

I have sat in restaurants and have watched families…or what’s left of them…sitting at the same table and they are all on their gadgets and not even talking to each other. You can see the pictures otherwise Derek shows it all to you in that video.
I could get into a chicken and egg cause and effect argument all day long but the results are a broken down, isolated society.
Who wants to live in a future like this? Aren’t we isolated enough already?!
It saps faith and hope like a sponge. Everyone has their limits and I know that this is bad but it’s nothing compared to what my fellow Christians in China and the Middle East are going through right now. Don’t worry, I get it. 🙂
I will say persecution and fallout comes in a lot of different forms however.
There is a very good reason that in olden days when it came down to it you were given a choice: Exile vs death as the same level of punishment. One is slow and drawn out, the other is fast and clean. I understand. I also understand why many if not most people given that choice choose the latter.

QUESTION:
What is “ministry/being in ministry”? What is/are the criteria, qualifications, specifications, etc.? The more Scripture you all can provide me on this, the better.
The reason I am asking is because I want to check myself on something. For my own personal comfort level I find that the wording/phrasing of “being in ministry” is used far too loosely so I would like to field this and see what’s what. Fire away. 🙂
