My commentary:
Very sobering and frightening but certainly not surprising. This is one of any number of any symptoms of a depraved society coming apart. I’m not a prepper type although I certainly encourage being prepared for anything and keeping a level head. This is the kind of thing I see and hear about that makes me sympathize with the more edgy and agitated prepper types.

This sort of open lawlessness is clearly another symptom of what those passages indicate.
It’s easy to get spooked and scared when we see things like these but I want to end this short entry with this word of encouragement:
2 Timothy 1:7
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
This is speaking to people who know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This is one of numerous promises in the Bible along these lines. If you don’t know Him, you need to read and study John 3:16 and John 14 and make a decision while you have time to do so. Time is a luxury that is running out.
